Rob Poindexter - Central Maine Bureau Chief/Reporter

Degree: Bachelors - Broadcast Journalism

Rob joined the news team in June of 2009. He came to WABI after working in sports radio at WZON in Bangor for 3 years where he was the play-by-play voice for the Husson Women's basketball team, and Maine's popular high school basketball tournament. Rob also worked as a producer and fill-in host of the popular afternoon show, "The Shootaround" with Jeff Solari. He is now the lead political reporter for WABI, covering all of the twists and turns of the Maine Legislature as well as all the news in Central Maine.

When he's not in the Central Maine Bureau in Waterville you'll find Rob spending time with his family and cheering on the Nokomis Warriors, New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Lakers, and Boston Bruins.
