New England School of Broadcasting

Wayne joined the TV5 News team in February of 2008, and returned to his broadcasting beginnings at the same time. Wayne's first broadcasting job was in this very building at 35 Hildreth Street, working as a weekend DJ for WABI AM-910 and then WYOU 97.1. After the stations took a turn and went to automation to run the stations on the weekend, he decided to go back to college. That travel took him to West Virginia University. He was there for a year and transfered back to UMaine and then took a job at the all-sports radio station WZON in Bangor. He co-hosted the afternoon drive talk show for two years of his four years there. Then in February of 2000, Wayne took a position at WLBZ Channel 2 in Bangor in the sports department. He was promoted to Sports Director in just a few months after being there, and stayed on the sports desk until December of 2003. He was then out of Television broadcasting for more than four years until coming back home to TV5.

Since 2000 Wayne has been the live harness racing announcer at Bass Park in Bangor, and continues to call the horse races now.

Wayne and his wife live in Bangor, and are the parents of three daughters. Most of his spare time is spent being a dad to the three girls. He also loves the heat and humidity of summer in Maine
