WABI TV broadcasts The CW over-the-air as WABI-DT2 (Digital Channel 5.2). If you watch TV with an antenna, you MUST have a digital TV or a digital converter for your current TV to receive WABI-DT2 and The CW.
However, WABI-DT2 is carried as a basic service by a number of cable systems. Call your cable or satellite company and ask them about the LOCAL CW station from WABI-TV.
If you have a Hi Def or Digital TV with a built-in digital tuner, then all you need is an antenna (maybe even just rabbit ears --depending on your location and specific circumstances).
If you can get channel 5's digital signal... then you'll get the CW. You can find WABI on digital channel 5.1 and the CW on channel 5.2.
You may need to use your set's "scan for channels" function (check your menu) for your first attempt.
We are also carried by most major cable and satellite systems within the Bangor DMA (Nielsen's "Designated Market Area"), which includes Washington, Hancock, Waldo, Penobscot, Piscataqis, and Somerset Counties.
Time Warner Cable viewers in most of Eastern and Central Maine, including the Bangor -Brewer area, Ellsworth, Mount Desert Island, the Newport area, the Pittsfield area, Dexter, Dover-Foxcroft, Hartland, Unity, Winterport, and other surrounding communities, can catch The CW on channel 10.
In Addison, we're on cable channel 15.
In Calais, Balieyville, Baring, Princeton and Woodland, we're on cable channel 19.
In the Machias, Eastport, Lubec and Perry area, look for The CW on cable channel 33.
The CW is not carried on ALL Time Warner Cable systems, due to some current technical challenges (but they are working on it!). Call your TWC customer service representative for more information.
